Veteran Services Needs Assessment in White County
The Community Foundation of White County (CFWC), with support from Lilly Endowment Inc., conducted a Veterans Services Needs Assessment to explore ways to strengthen support systems for veterans in our community.

As military-affiliated families transition into civilian life, the demand for comprehensive services—including healthcare, mental wellness, career development, and overall well-being—has grown. While White County already had strong leadership and veteran-focused resources, such as the White County Veterans Service Office, the assessment aimed to better understand existing services, identify service gaps, and explore how local, regional, and state partners could collaborate more effectively.

To lead this work, CFWC partnered with TPMA, an Indianapolis-based consulting firm with extensive experience supporting nonprofits and community foundations. Over a 90-day period, TPMA reviewed veteran-related data and mapped local resources, conducted interviews with community leaders and employers, and facilitated an on-site focus group with local veterans.
The assessment provided valuable insights into the current state of services and offered recommendations to enhance support for those who have served our country. Click the image below to take a look at the report!
