In a time where mental health is at the forefront of your Community Foundation’s focus, the Youth Philanthropy Council has found a creative way to inspire and support White County. Earlier this year, these young leaders debuted an interactive board at our Annual Report to the Community Reception, and now this heartfelt project has found a new home in our office entryway.
The "Take What You Need" board is a simple but powerful display. Pinned to the corkboard are note cards filled with uplifting messages meant to offer bursts of empowerment, hope, and joy. Some of the thoughtful messages include:
"I feel strong and well today."
"I choose to focus on the positive things in life."
"I am grateful for another day to live and grow."
"I choose to let go of negative thoughts and emotions."
These words of encouragement are available to everyone who walks through our doors, offering a small but meaningful way to lift spirits. Even as our office sits amid a bustling roundabout construction project, we remain open to the public, and we encourage anyone to stop by, check out the board, and leave with a bit of inspiration.
The Youth Philanthropy Council, with their passion and dedication, continues to uplift the people of White County, one message at a time. Come see how our youth are making a difference and find a message that speaks to you!
