Holiday Grants Reception

Dear White County Residents,

As the holiday season graces us with its warmth and joy, we find ourselves reflecting on the incredible community spirit that surrounds us. At your Community Foundation of White County, we had the privilege of hosting our annual Holiday Grants Reception on December 6th, an event that not only marks the culmination of a year's worth of hard work but also serves as a reminder of the unwavering support we receive from our community.

This year, the Holiday Grants Reception was a particularly special occasion. As we closed out our 25th year serving White County, we marked new milestones in our journey with the announcement of over $527,000 in total awarded this year to strengthen and transform our community. We also announced our participation in Lilly Endowment Inc.’s GIFT VIII initiative, a $210 million investment in Indiana community foundations. Our celebration was the perfect bow to top off an exciting anniversary year.

Over 80 guests gathered at the Tippecanoe Country Club to honor and celebrate the recipients of the grants awarded throughout the year. The air was filled with anticipation and excitement as community members, grant recipients, and our dedicated supporters came together to witness the positive impact of their collective efforts.

We honored 29 organizations that received community grants this year, culminating in over $236,000 in community impact. These awards included the Community Cares grants, Women Giving Together grants, “What’s Your Legacy?” 25th Anniversary proactive grants, Governing Council Member Mini grants, Mental Wellness grants, Youth Philanthropy Council grants, and Glen B. & Lorraine D. Garrott grants.

The success of the evening would not have been possible without the generosity and commitment of individuals, businesses, and organizations that make up the vibrant tapestry of our community. Your support has enabled us to fund initiatives that address pressing needs, promote education, foster creativity, and enhance the overall well-being of our residents.

As we heard inspiring stories of impact from each organization, it became clear that our community is a place where compassion, collaboration, and a shared vision for a better future thrive. The sense of unity in the room was palpable, and it served as a powerful testament to the strength of our community bonds.

We extend our deepest gratitude to each and every person who has contributed time, resources, and energy to make our community a better place. Your dedication has not only transformed lives but has also created a ripple effect of positive change that will resonate for years to come.

As we enter the holiday season, let us carry this spirit of giving, gratitude, and community support into the new year, continuing to work hand in hand to build a brighter future for all.

Thank you for being the heart of our community and for making the Holiday Grants Reception an unforgettable evening. Together, we strengthen and transform.

Warmest wishes for a joyous holiday season,

Lucy Dold
