Members of the Twin Lakes Class of 1971 have come together to create a lasting tribute to classmates who have passed away by establishing the Class of ’71 Memorial Fund with the Community Foundation of White County (CFWC). This fund honors the memories of those who shared a formative time in our lives and offers an opportunity to support the community we all cherish.
Since its founding, CFWC has been a driving force for positive change in White County. In 2024 alone, the foundation granted over $593,000 to scholarships and community initiatives, directly enriching the lives of residents. Funding for rural school systems can be a challenge, but CFWC has consistently stepped up, supporting STEM programs, educational speakers, and essential classroom equipment in the Twin Lakes School Corporation.
The Class of ’71 Memorial Fund has already received donations exceeding $7,000, thanks to the generosity of classmates and community members. With a remarkable 2:1 match opportunity from Lilly Endowment, Inc., these gifts have tripled—bringing the fund total to over $21,000. Every dollar raised will continue to support educational opportunities and community growth for years to come.
Contributing to the fund is easy and impactful. You can make a tax-deductible donation online at www.cfwhitecounty.org, or mail a check payable to the Community Foundation of White County with “Class of ’71” in the memo line to P.O. Box 1154 in Monticello.
Let’s keep the spirit of the Class of ’71 alive by giving back to the community that shaped us!
