At your Community Foundation of White County, collaboration is not just a strategy—it’s part of our culture. In philanthropy, success rarely comes from working alone. The most meaningful progress happens when people share ideas, combine strengths, and work toward a common goal.

Our role as a community foundation often places us at the intersection of many different efforts happening across White County. Nonprofits, schools, government leaders, businesses, and volunteers are all working to make our community stronger. When those groups connect and communicate, good ideas grow into something even better.

Some of the challenges communities face today are complex. Supporting youth, strengthening mental wellness, expanding childcare, or improving access to services often requires more than one organization stepping in. It takes cooperation, creativity, and a willingness to look beyond individual missions to see the bigger picture.

That’s why the Community Foundation regularly participates in coalitions, community forums, and local conversations where partners can gather around the same table. These moments of connection allow organizations to share what they are seeing, learn from one another, and identify opportunities to work together.

You’ll also see collaboration reflected in our grantmaking. Many of the most exciting projects we fund involve multiple partners working side by side. When organizations combine their expertise and resources, they can reach more people and create solutions that are stronger and more sustainable.
