Women Giving Together Grant Recipients Announced

We are thrilled to announce the recipients of our Women Giving Together Grants, totaling $12,944. These awards are made possible through donations to the Women Giving Together Fund, a permanent endowment held at the Community Foundation of White County. The Women Giving Together (WGT) Fund was created 16 years ago by a small group of women who wanted to develop a philanthropic tool that can make a lasting difference in the lives of women and children in White County. In total, over $175,000 has been granted from the WGT Fund to support projects that address the hopes and dreams of White County’s women and families.

Quilts for Kids is bringing warmth and comfort to children in White County by providing beautiful, handmade quilts that will brighten their days and remind them they are cared for.

At Garden Childcare Ministry, a grant for curriculum enhancements will help create new and exciting learning opportunities for young children, nurturing their growth and curiosity in a supportive environment.

Through the support of WC United Way, efforts to prevent child abuse will be strengthened, ensuring more children in the community have the safe and secure childhoods they deserve.

St. James Lutheran Childcare Ministry is making life easier for families by upgrading its diaper-changing station, creating a more welcoming and practical space for parents and caregivers.

Thank you to our many donors who make these grants possible. To support the Women Giving Together Fund and its important mission, you can become a donor by simply making a donation to the Community Foundation of White County (CFWC) to be directed into the WGT Fund. Or to become a recurring donor, you may hop onto our website, click “Donate”, and you’ll have the option for a one-time gift or a monthly recurring gift. CFWC provides flexibility, accepting donations of many kinds: cash, check, stock, life insurance, real estate, and mutual funds. CFWC also provides security: as a Nationally Accredited Community Foundation, we uphold strict standards set by IRS to protect and steward your gift ethically.
