Women Giving Together's New Beginnings

After 16 years of hosting its cherished annual Ladies Luncheon, Women Giving Together—a giving circle of the Community Foundation of White County—is stepping into a new chapter.

With more than 400 donors united by a shared mission, Women Giving Together empowers women to strengthen White County through charitable giving to address the hopes and dreams and women and families. Since its founding in 2006, the group has awarded more than $178,000 in grants to support causes that uplift local women, children, and families. From providing breast cancer screenings and enhancing childcare centers to supporting domestic violence survivors and awarding educational scholarships, the impact is far-reaching.

Thirteen dedicated committee members help lead the charge—coordinating grantmaking efforts, building connections with local partners, and bringing social gatherings to life. Their leadership has been especially vital in recent months, as the group navigates change.

Rising costs associated with hosting the annual luncheon prompted the committee to spend the past six months reflecting on how to evolve while remaining true to the group’s mission. Though this year’s activities will look different, the spirit of Women Giving Together remains strong. The committee is excited to explore new ways to gather, give, and grow together—creating meaningful experiences that deepen connections between donors, the grants they support, and the work happening in the community.

Each gift to the Women Giving Together Fund is pooled for maximum impact. Half is permanently endowed to grow for the future, while the other half is granted the following year. Every donation—no matter the amount—joins a collective force for good. Donations are accepted year-round and continue to support the programs, partners, and people building a stronger White County.
